MetaTrader 5 (MT5) (Malaysia)
The second platform Monaxa lists, on the same asset classes.
Open an FxPro account →MetaTrader 5 is the second platform Monaxa lists and covers the same six asset classes as MT4: forex, crypto, commodities, indices, stocks and ETFs. It is available across the four account types the broker publishes, and the terminal is downloaded from the client portal rather than bundled with registration, as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026.
MetaTrader 5 (MT5) at Monaxa
- Same login credentials as the client portal are NOT used: the terminal is downloaded separately from the portal and connected with its own trading login

- Adds timeframes, order types and a built-in economic calendar; the asset universe is unchanged

Open an FxPro account →What MT5 adds over MT4 for this broker
More timeframes, more order types, a depth-of-market view and a built-in economic calendar. Those are properties of the terminal itself, not of this broker, and they are the whole of what the newer product adds here.
What it does not add is market access. The asset universe is the same six classes on either terminal, so choosing MT5 in the hope of reaching instruments MT4 cannot is a decision made on a reason that does not exist.
Both are MetaQuotes products rather than broker builds — MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4 — so what the broker controls is which accounts reach which terminal, not what the terminal can do.
Which account types reach MT5
All four. Standard, Pro, Zero and Cent are listed on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 alike, so the platform choice is independent of the account tier and can be made on preference rather than on eligibility.
All four are listed on both terminals, as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026, so the platform choice does not narrow the account choice or the other way round.
Where the terminal is downloaded from
From the client portal, after the account exists. The terminal is not bundled with registration, which is why a reader who installs first and registers second ends up with a terminal and nothing to connect it to.
Connecting needs the trading login and the server name for the account, both issued in the portal. The portal password is a different credential and will not authorise the terminal.
How to choose between the two platforms in a minute
The decision has one input and it is not about features: is there MQL4 code that has to keep running? If yes, that question is answered on the MT4 page, which is where it belongs. If no, this terminal is the default and there is nothing further to weigh.
Account types and asset classes are the same either way: all four types and all six classes are listed for both terminals, as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026. Cost figures are a different matter — the broker publishes no per-platform spread or commission figures, and none were measured for this page, so nothing here compares the two terminals on price.
What to do right after installing
Connect using the trading login, confirm the server matches the account, and place nothing until the instrument specification has been opened at least once. That specification is where contract size, applicable leverage and the swap values are read — the three numbers every position calculation needs.
