Two apps, not one: the MetaTrader terminal places orders, and a separate browser portal holds deposits, withdrawals and verification. The broker lists MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 as its platforms, as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026, and does not list a branded terminal of its own.

What the Monaxa app does

The split below is the whole of it: the terminal prices and orders, the portal holds money, documents and account settings.

There is no separate Monaxa mobile terminal: trading runs on the standard MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 builds, and everything involving money or documents sits in the browser portal. For a reader in Malaysia the practical consequence is that a phone alone is not enough — verification documents and withdrawal requests need the portal.

Malaysia runs on a single time zone, MYT (UTC+8), with no daylight saving. The trading week therefore opens around 05:00 on Monday and closes around 05:00 on Saturday local time, shifting by an hour when North America changes its clocks. Notifications in the terminal are configured by the reader rather than by the broker, so they are worth setting deliberately for the hours actually intended instead of discovering them at the wrong one.

Trade from anywhere

The terminal on a phone is connected with the trading login and server name issued for the Monaxa account, not with the client portal password — as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026. Deposits, withdrawals and verification stay in the browser portal; the split is set out on how it works.

Which app trades and which app moves money

The MetaTrader app on the phone is the terminal: charts, orders, open positions. Money and documents live in the browser portal. There is no single Monaxa app that does both, and a reader expecting one will look for controls the terminal does not have.

The practical split is easy to remember. If the action involves a price, it is in the terminal. If it involves a document or a balance transfer, it is in the portal.

Both terminals are third-party software rather than broker builds: MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are developed by MetaQuotes and behave the same way at every broker that offers them.

What the mobile terminal cannot do

Deposits, withdrawals, identity verification, payment-method confirmation and account-type changes are all portal operations. None of them appear in the MetaTrader app, because MetaTrader is a trading terminal and not a client area — that is a property of the platform, which this broker uses as supplied.

That is a property of the platform rather than a choice by this broker — a useful distinction when deciding where a complaint actually belongs.

How the app is connected to an account

The terminal is downloaded separately and then connected using the trading login issued for the account, plus the server name for that account. Those credentials are not the portal password. The version has to match too: an account provisioned for MetaTrader 5 will not connect from MetaTrader 4.

Monaxa lists both platforms across its four account types, so the version is a choice rather than a constraint for most readers — as published on monaxa.com and read on 15 September 2026.

What to install first

Open the account and finish verification before installing anything. An installed terminal with no account behind it does nothing, and the order is the point: account, then portal, then terminal. The sequence in full is on how it works.

How the mobile terminal differs from the desktop one

The desktop build carries the fuller toolset; the mobile build carries the same account and the same prices in a smaller surface. Neither of them gains the portal functions. If a workflow needs both detailed analysis and account administration, it needs two devices or two windows, not a better app.

No. Deposits, withdrawals and verification are portal operations. The MetaTrader terminal places orders and does not move money.
